We are part of FIRST, which stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue an education in Science & Technology, while building confidence, knowledge, and life-skills. Our name stands for Community of Robotic Engineers, and that is just what we are-we are from Waukesha, Wisconsin and accept students from any three of our community high schools, two preparatory academies, and homeschool students from the area. We are part of a larger organization called FIRST. To read more about them, read the section below. We pair them up with great mentors who teach them the fundamentals of robotics and other life skills.

Gracious Professionalism

Gracious professionalism is a main motto of the FIRST Robotics Competition. Gracious professionalism emphasizes the value of others, respect for the community and teammates, and the quality of work. While treating others with kindness and respect, we learn and compete like crazy. We avoid treating anyone disrespectfully, and there are no boastful behaviors or sugar-coated situations. On our team we make a great effort to be gracious professionals. At competitions we hand out safety packets and answer questions anyone has about it. We will always be willing to lend spare parts or help opposing teams fix their robots at competitions.
