Where it all began: FIRST

We are part of FIRST, which stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue an education in Science & Technology, while building confidence, knowledge, and life-skills. Team Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin

Our name stands for Community of Robotic Engineers, and that is just what we are-we are from Waukesha, Wisconsin and accept students from any three of our community high schools. We are part of a larger organization called FIRST. To read more about them, read the section below. We pair them up with great mentors who teach them the fundamentals of robotics and other life skills.

2010 Wisconsin Regional

Where: US Cellular Arena, Milwaukee, WI

When: March 11-13, 2010

The 2010 Wisconsin Regional will be held at the U.S. Cellular Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The competition will take place from March 12^th to the 14^th. 53 teams will be attending including veteran teams like MORE Robotics and rookie teams such as MOTOROBO. This will be C.O.R.E.’s 4^th year at this regional and we are very excited to be returning. Two years ago, C.O.R.E. won the regional competition with teams 171 and 2549. The Wisconsin Regional was also the first competition that C.O.R.E. attended in 2007, our rookie year, where we won the All-Star Rookie Award that sent us to the Championships in Atlanta.
