Where it all began: FIRST

We are part of FIRST, which stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue an education in Science & Technology, while building confidence, knowledge, and life-skills. Team Number: 2062

Team Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin

Our name stands for Community of Robotic Engineers, and that is just what we are-we are from Waukesha, Wisconsin and accept students from any three of our community high schools. We are part of a larger organization called FIRST. To read more about them, read the section below. We pair them up with great mentors who teach them the fundamentals of robotics and other life skills.

2007 Wisconsin Regional

This was our team’s first competition. When our team walked into the US Cellular Arena we had no idea what to expect. Our team’s robot performed extremely well and we were told we had one of the best lifting robots they had ever seen. Our team was eliminated in the quarter finals, but did win the All Star rookie Award. This award enabled us to continue our incredible journey at the international competition in Atlanta. We were told by many judges and other teams that even though we were a rookie team they did not consider us one.
