A (Sort of) in-depth explanation of Consensus

Hello! There are only a couple weeks left until Christmas, which means build season is just around the corner. But before that, CORE will be having two practice consensus meetings to get prepared to design this year’s robot. Consensus meetings are where our whole team gathers together as a group and discusses the game rules, the restrictions we have on our robot, and more in order to come up with a new robot design that will be able to conquer whatever FIRST decides to throw at us. Then, the design team uses the suggestions and rough sketches and gets to work designing exactly what our robot will look like. We use this process because it ensures that the entire team has a say in what our robot will look like and so that we can all check each other’s work and suggest edits to make the robot better. Also, December 10th is the FLL tournament, so good luck to all competing teams, and we hope you have a great weekend!
